The Premier League season is upon us, which means you're either terrifically excited or thunderously bored already, but as the teams get settled in and new players grow into their roles you can be confident that the drama will ramp up. As the primary broadcaster of Premier League football in the UK, Sky Sports have a particular interest in bringing the biggest and best games to their channel before BT get the chance to land them for their service. Naturally then, Sky are delighted to announce that they've secured three of the biggest derbies in English football for their Autumn schedule in the form of Everton vs. Liverpool, Man Utd vs. Man City and Arsenal vs. Tottenham.

In addition, Sky Sports have added a further 22 fixtures to their October and November schedule, bringing the total to 46 Premier League matches that will be shown exclusively live during the opening four months of the season. Each of the clubs will be on TV at least twice, and last season's top four sides will be shown at least six times before the end of November, ensuring that all the goals that matter are shown on Sky Sports. The live matches are the first of 116 Premier League fixtures to appear on Sky Sports during the season, featuring coverage from Thierry Henry, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Souness, as well as team specific special guests.

Alongside those derby games, October will see Arsenal take on Manchester United and November will see the first South Coast derby in the Premier League as Southampton and freshly promoted Bournemouth take each other on for the glory of such a historic occasion.

Aside from the Premier League, Sky have a pretty stunning schedule of football for fans of the game. There's unprecedented coverage of the Football League, the Capital One Cup, UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifications, the SPFL, Scottish Cup alongside MLS and Eredivisie.

Sky Sports Managing Director Barney Francis said: “As Sky Sports adds more live matches to the schedule it only builds the excitement ahead of a new football season. Rivalry adds to a sporting contest and with a number of derby matches in October and November there is a lot to look forward to.

“In the first four months of the season fans will be able to see every team live at least twice, and the top four of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd will be on our screens at least six times each.”
